Welcome back fellow bloggers... !!!!  I am back with another post on the Haiku series with 3 new haiku. And if any of you have missed the Intro post of this series pls go and check out this post 👇👇👇 https://thepoeticwanderlust.blogspot.com/2021/05/haiku-series-intro.html   It will help you understand more about Haiku. So let's begin....  Autumn + Sweeper – A Haiku Leaves fall on the road, The flower – filled road, glows bright, The sweeper, sweeps them all. This haiku is about the cool, serene autumn, aaaand the work of sweepers in that season. This one gives a descriptive depiction of the leaves and flowers falling on the road and how it all looks beautiful for moments but how it increases the works of sweepers all around the world. Especially, in the pandemic the world is facing rn (right now), they play a gargantuan part to keep everywhere clean. This is a sense is a tribute to them for their social work.  Wounds of Time – A Haiku Hands race to erase,...

Memory Lane

Hey folks... In this post I am gonna share with u all a poem, which has a deep surreal meaning in it. Ok ok (sighs) I won't give any spoilers... Anyway let's begin....    Memory Lane Walk barefoot, When you go down that memory lane. Even if there are shards from a broken window, Or thorns left by dead roses.   Dreams of future which you see, Cannot trample upon, The horrors of past, But nor can both meet.   When a letter drops from an old diary, Or scribbles on the corner of an old book scream, Sing them a song, And bury them deep.   Across these ancient aching lanes filled with your past, The remains of sunshine and joy, Are still etched on cracking walls, They are aging, awaiting to perish Yet, they stand strong and immortal.   When you go down the memory lane, Don’t forget to relive your past, Learn from it, live with it, And make up for it…   I thoroughly enjoyed writing this poem, but tbh, it was a...

Haiku Series - Intro

Hey Folks !!! Welcome to the introduction of Haiku Series. Let's begin...  Haiku are originally a part of Japanese literature. They were 3 - liner poems written originally using a total 17 sounds of Japanese language. Nowadays, these 17 sounds are referred as 17 syllables. These poems had a universal rule of writing in 5 - 7 - 5 syllables format; which means that first line will have 5 syllables, second will have 7 and the last again will have 5 syllables. This rule is though often nowadays broken.  Haiku are strictly based on nature, aspects of nature, or any small point of nature. Nature here includes everything from trees to plants to animals to seasons to insects.  So yeah, these poems have a bunch of rules one gotta follow to write them. But trust me, they are amazing reads. So finally reaching my end I will be publishing 3 Haiku per post.  HOPE YOU ALL STAY SAFE AND WATCH OUT FOR MORE POSTS THIS WEEK ...               ...

Here you are and here you stay, Upon this glorious night of the day.   Stand upon the ocean blue, That lights up the sky like diamonds to view. For this, the day you gaze the sea, In this endless time that’s here to be.   So come, and fly away with me, To a place, where shorelin...

The Rise of The Phoenix

Greetings to my fellow bloggers.  Hope you all are doing well.  I hadn't posted pretty much anything in here and i regret that. But this is gonna change. I have a bunch of things which i am eager to share with you all. Here's a story i wrote back sometime ago,   The Rise of the Phoenix                                                                                                                              “Grandma what’s that” I asked unable to keep my 7-year-old childish curiosity in limit, pointing out to a golden glittering inside a glass box safely kept in velvet. It was unlike any award I had seen till now. “It’s a medal dear child…” she continued “a meda...
