Haiku Series - P1

It will help you understand more about Haiku. So let's begin.... 

1) 

The Star – A Haiku

O beautiful, little star in the sky

Don’t drop, don’t fall, aim higher

Enchanting star, illuminate all with your uniqueness 

This haiku tells us a story of a unique star in heaven which survives against all odds and becomes one of the best. This haiku however doesn't follow the regular 5 - 7 - 5 format. 

2) 

Rain – A Haiku

A drop of dew fell

Onto the cold wet earth

Come fast, it’s raining!!! 

This haiku tells us about the time just before when rains falls to the ground, possibly in a place where rains don't happen very frequently. 

3) 

Sunshine – A Haiku

Rays of sun enter,

The darkness disappears,

I can read a book.

This haiku expresses the joy and satisfaction of a person which he/she feels when darkness of the night disappears as the sun starts glowing, because he/she needs light to read, and he/she is in a place where there is no light except sunlight. In a way, the person is also relived of his/her fear of darkness and not able to read.
